CubeSlice Components and Editions

There are two CubeSlice components.

The CubeSlice Creator (shown below) is used by the person primarily responsible for creating sets of views to share with other people in the organization. The Creator looks a lot like the Viewer, but it has many extra tools needed to create files for the people using the Viewer.

The CubeSlice Viewer is used by everyone in the organization who needs to look at data.

There are three editions of the CubeSlice Viewer:

1. The standard edition of the CubeSlice Viewer, which is available with full functionality for a 30-day free trial period.

2. CubeSlice Viewer Basic, a freely distributable edition of the CubeSlice Viewer which has less functionality. After your 30-day trial period using the standard edition, you can continue using CubeSlice Viewer Basic with no charge.

3. CubeSlice Viewer Share, an edition of the CubeSlice Viewer that does not have to be installed. The CubeSlice Creator can create CubeSlice Share files that contain multidimensional data, views, and a copy of CubeSlice Viewer Share. These files can be viewed on any computer that has Microsoft Office XP or Microsoft Office 2003 installed.
